We are excited to have the artwork of the talented local artist Rustyfern in our Secret Show for the month of October 2023. Rustyfern is the artistic alter ego of Veronica Villanueva. Rustyfern utilizes embroidery and upcycled fabric to make whimsical images that blend nostalgia, cuteness and the raw crudeness of reality. We reached out to Rustyfern for a better description of her aesthetic which she described as “a macabre exterior with a rainbow interior”.
