LOBO “NO Days Off”
LOBO k.b.c
Growing up in the 80s and the 90s in the streets of Bronx Ny, things back then were a lot different. We didn’t have much, but there was a movement growing right in front of my eyes. Out of nothing, I found my part in that movement called Hip-hop. I got to see my uncle Dj and my friends, breaking and rapping. Through it, I fell in love with the art of graffiti. For the last 30 years of my life, I continue to draw and paint graffiti art to this day with a certain state of mind: No Days Off.
The Epitome Gallery is proud to be displaying the artwork of Bronx-Made Artist LOBO and PDX based artist Sean Whipple for the month of February. LOBO is a multi-talented Tattoo Artist, Designer, Graff Artist who lives by the code of “No Days Off”. Sean Whipple, also a talented artist, was added to the show by LOBO. Come join us for the Opening Reception: Saturday Feb. 4th 6-9pm Arts Alive!!!
Sean Whipple
@_whipple was added to the show by Lobo. Sean Whipple is a talented artist and the other half of February’s art show “No Days Off”. We reached out for a bio and he had this to say “I just moved to Portland, but I'm a self-taught illustrator and former graffiti writer from Santa Barbara, CA. I lived in Humboldt for 6 years and got my degree in Geology there.”
