Blake Reagan & Lucas Thornton
the Secret Show
Blake Reagan and Lucas Thornton are two well known local muralist/artists that we are beyond excited to have in our humble Secret Show for the month of May. This show is a secret so please spread it around far and wide.
Blake Reagan
Blake Reagan is well known locally for being a fabulous painter. You may see him around town in clothing covered in paint or just as likely you have seen his many beautiful, colorful murals he has throughout the county. Maybe you know him for his live paintings that literally glows under black-light, he is well known in the festival and burning man circles for this very reason. Maybe you are a fan of the local Outer Roominations outdoor art exhibition that Blake co-created. You might know Blake Reagan from Kinetics, the Accident Gallery days or even before, but you already know who Blake Reagan is. We reached out to his team and they had this to say:
From electric Art Deco, to undulating fields of pastel flowers, many of Blake’s creations display a colorful theme including bright gradient waves of brilliant floral vibrations. From fine art, to live black light induced ultra violet performance painting, his journey in art is now mainly directed into murals on our drab and dreary neglected walls, in which he turns into fun, vibrant, uplifting images of inspiration and positivity.

Lucas Thornton
Lucas Thornton describes himself as a “Humboldt County born Artist currently living in Eureka, CA”. Lucas Thornton is a very prolific muralist. He is a brilliant painter and has been teaming up with Blake Reagan for many years. As a muralist, Lucas is probably best known for his mural on the side of the Redwood Arts Association Building in Eureka. He is an avid surfer and is also known as Mr. Woodcraft, the maker of fine hand crafted surfboards. We were curious to learn more and so we reached out to Lucas Thornton. He sent us this image and said “Here's a picture for the show, let me know if this works for you.”
